Two women aged 19 and 23 are suspected of procuring. According to the General Police Commissariat, in both of the cases the suspects recruited girls under 23 from deprived families to provide sexual services for money in Chisinau. Among them was a minor of 17. The first woman, from Cimislia district, was caught red-handed in an apartment situated on Negruzzi Blvd. in Chisinau, where she provided sexual services together with another girl aged 18. There were two clients in the apartment, who said they paid 500 lei for an hour. The second suspect, of 23, was arrested in an apartment on Ismail St. She, together with a girl aged 17, provided sexual services for €50 an hour to two clients. In both of the cases, the clients found the prostitutes through a paper. Steps are being taken to identify other persons involved in the procuring cases. If found guilty, the young women will pay a fine of 4 000 to 16 000 lei or will serve two to five years in prison.
