The Strășeni Court sentenced two men aged 24 and 27 to 15 and, respectively, 11 years in jail for raping a minor girl in Călărași district this July, IPN reports.

The Prosecutor General’s Office said that being under the influence of alcohol, the men threatened the girl with the use of violence while in a house in a village of Călărași district on the night of July 15. They knew that she didn’t reach 14, but nevertheless abused her.

The culprits had been held on remand throughout the trial. The sentence is not definitive and can be disputed in the Chisinau Appeals Court within 15 days.
