A boy aged two from a settlement of Sangerei district scalded himself with the hot water prepared to remove the feathers off a bird. He suffered second- and third-degree burns on 20% of the body, Ala Condrea, head of the Emergency Admissions Section of the Balti Municipal Hospital where the child was admitted, told IPN.
The basin with hot water was in the house’s yard. The child fell into it, scalding his back, hands and partially the legs.
Everything happened before parents’ eyes. There were also relatives of the child in the yard, but they all were busy doing something. Ala Condrea warns that the kids must be kept under supervision permanently so as to avoid accidents that can endanger their health and lives.
