A child aged two fell from the fourth floor of an apartment building situated in the municipality of Chisinau in the evening of September 29. It happened while the mother was in the kitchen together with the younger child, IPN reports.

According to the police, the 35-year-old woman was at home with her three children. At a certain moment, she went to the kitchen together with the youngest child. The two-year-old boy remained in the room. He climbed up on the chair and then the windowsill and, pushing the insect screen, fell out.

The boy was lucky as he got only a head hematoma and no other traumas.

The grownups are urged not to leave the children alone in the room when they ventilate this and to use a vertical window opening system. The chairs, tables and wardrobes should not be placed on the balcony or near the window as the children can get onto them and fall from height given that they do not realize the danger.
