A boy aged two died when he fell into a well located in the yard of their house. It happened in a village of Soldanesti district in the evening of May 1. Press officer of the Soldanesti Police Inspectorate Dina Fomin has told IPN that the child was playing with his elder brother and felt thirsty. He wanted to drink from the bucket, but slipped and fell into the well.

The child was taken out by his father.  The ambulance team that arrived at the scene could not resuscitate him. An investigation is under way. It is not yet known if legal action will be taken against the parents.
