A girl aged two remained stuck inside the apartment with the door closed from inside. It happened after her mother went out of the apartment for several minutes.

According to the General Inspectorate for Emergencies, it happened in an apartment building in Bubuieci village of the municipality of Chisinau. The parents called out rescuers to unlock the door.

The rescuers unlocked the door in several minutes and the child was found unhurt inside. The circumstances of the case are yet to be determined.

Contacted by IPN for details, press officer of the General Inspectorate for Emergencies Liliana Pușcașu said that this is the first case of the kind so far this year. Last year the rescuers dealt with over 200 such cases to save persons, including minors.
