A two-year-old boy from Slobozia village located on the left bank of the Nistru was rushed to the hospital after drinking solvent. The child was admitted to the intensive care unit and is now out of danger, IPN reports.
The boy’s mother, a 33-year-old woman, was painting a swing in the yard, mixing the paint with the chemical substance. The child, who was playing not far away, found the container with solvent hidden in the bushes, opened it and took the lid to his mother to show it.
Presuming that her son drank solvent, the woman called an ambulance. The child spent a day in intensive care and a few more days stayed in the hospital under the supervision of doctors. Now he is at home, out of any danger, said the press service of the Ministry of Interior in Tiraspol.
Specialists warn parents to always keep an eye on the little ones. Dangerous substances should be kept in places that are inaccessible to children.
