Two twin sisters abandoned in Romania 13 years ago repatriated to Moldova

Two twin sisters who were abandoned at birth in Romania 13 years ago have been repatriated. The mother of the girls was 16 years old when she gave birth. At that time, she was studying at a high school in Romania. Nothing is known about their father. During all these years, the girls lived in the family of a professional maternal assistant in Romania, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a communique, the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family says that the girls have been accommodated at a temporary placement center. A family-type form of protection will be later identified for them. Two brothers and a sister aged between 5 and 12 have been repatriated from Russia after they remained without parental care. The children are citizens of Moldova. They had lived in Russia together with their mother for two years. The Russian authorities decided to repatriate them after their mother was arrested. The chidlren's father agreed to accept them into his new family. Twenty-eight Moldovan children have been repatriated since the start of this year.
