In July, new issued loans amounted to 2 850.4 million lei, up 14.9% compared to the same month last year. The share of credits granted in national currency represented 72.7%, while foreign currency credits represented - 27.3%. According to data from the National Bank of Moldova, the most attractive loans were granted for two- to five-year terms.
50.1% of credits granted in national currency were taken out by legal entities. Loans in foreign currency were mainly requested by non-financial companies - 94.3%.
The average rate for new loans granted in national currency was 7.42% for individuals and 8.59% for legal entities. Loans in foreign currency could be taken out by individuals at an average rate of 3.83%, and by legal entities at 4.41%.
For the month of July 2019, new attracted deposits amounted to 2 393.7 million lei, decreasing by 7.2% compared to July 2018. Deposits in national currency accounted for 63.5%, while in foreign currency 36.5%. 83.2% of the total savings belong to individuals.
The most attractive deposit terms were attracted for 6 to 12 months (45.8% of the total deposits).
