Two teenagers aged 15 and 16 were found carbonized in a house in Mereșeni village of Hâncești district. According to the police, the girl and the boy, who were related, had signs of violence on their bodies.

Press officer of the Hâncești Police Inspectorate Cristina Vicol has told IPN that the police were informed about an arson attack in a village of Hâncești district at midnight on November 25. The bodies of the minors found in the house were carbonized.

A criminal case will be started. Medical examiners are to find out the exact cause of death of the teenagers, while the investigators will determine if it was arson.

The teens were reportedly cousins. Their parents weren’t at home when the tragedy happened.
