Two suspects in case of fake newspapers “Timpul de Chisinau” and “Ziarul de Chisinau” arrested

The specialized services of the Ministry of the Interior last night arrested two persons who are suspected of publishing fake issues of the papers “Timpul de Chisinau” and “Ziarul de Chisinau”. During the search of an apartment rented by the two, there were found numbers of the fake editions, computation equipment and samples of forged Ukrainian newspapers, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Ministry. The minister of the interior ordered setting up a group of inquiry to identify the culprits and those who commissioned the papers, the publishing house that printed them, etc. The Ministry will provide more details in a news conference the next days, when the group of inquiry collects new evidence in the given case. Papers with the logo, printing design and rubric names of the editorial office of “Ziarul de Garda”, with only one letter changed – “ZdC”, appeared in Chisinau and other settlements of Moldova late in April. A new fake paper - “Timpul de Chisinau” – that imitates the daily “Timpul de dimineata”, was distributed last week.
