Two candidates were asked to leave the examination hall after they were caught cheating in the Baccalaureate exam in the language of study on June 6. These will not be allowed to take the next exams and will be able to sit the Baccalaureate exams again only next year. About 15,000 students took the exam today, 12,508 of whom in the Romanian language, IPN reports.
The Ministry of Education and the National Agency for Curriculum and Assessment call on the students to count on the own knowledge and to seriously prepare for exams.
The next Baccalaureate exam of the current session, in the foreign language, will be sat on June 9. Almost 10,000 candidates will take the exam in English, over 5,000 – in French, 169 – in German, 32 – in Italian, 55 – in Spanish, while 40 – in Turkish.
By the decision of the National Exams Commission, 637 candidates who possess international foreign language certificates received the grade of 10 automatically and thus do not need to take the exam on June 9. The students with diplomas of the first, second and third degrees won at the national foreign languages Olympiad this year are also freed from taking the exam.
