The urology and endoscopy sections of the Chisinau-based Saint Trinity Hospital were reopened after renovation. These were fully repaired and outfitted with modern equipment, IPN reports.
The urology section has a capacity of 30 beds. The modernized section includes a cystoscopy ward that enables to accurately diagnose diseases of the urethra, bladder and prostate, and a surgical ward outfitted with last-generation endoscopic equipment.
The endoscopy section includes seven offices equipped with video-gastroscope, video-bronchoscope and video-colonoscope. Each of these enables to examine patients in accordance with the world standards and requirements and to make an accurate diagnosis.
The renovation works cost about 12 million lei. Of this sum, 3.5 million lei was allocated from the municipal budget, while about 9 million lei represents the financial support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency provided within the Improvement of Medical Service Project.
