Two Romanian nationals injured in car crash
Two passengers of a cab, citizens of Romania, were severely injured in a road accident, occurred in the centre of Chisinau, on Wednesday, near midnight.
Inspector of the Chisinau Road Security Service Ion Roscovanu told Info-Prim Neo that the accident occurred at the crossroad of Mihai Eminescu and 31 August Streets, at 23.45. A Dacia Logan, 1444 taxi service, collided with another Dacia-Logan, 1408 taxi service, the driver of which had no driving license. As a result of the strong impact, the two passengers travelling in the second cab, both residents of Giurgiulesti town, were severely injured. A woman, aged 51 suffered mental shock, face excoriation and concussion of the thorax, and her daughter aged 27, suffered fracture of the pelvis. Both victims were hospitalised at the Emergency Hospital.
On Wednesday, in the capital city there were registered 17 traffic accidents with 5 injured persons. The road police traced 14 intoxicated drivers, 62 cases of speeding and 49 drivers who ignored the stoplight.
