Two policemen, who were arrested on the 14th of June, by the secret services from Tiraspol, were liberated last night and brought to the hospital of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for investigations. According to the Ministry of Reintegration and to the Press Centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Stefan Mangar, head of department of the Centre for Organized Crime Control, lieutenant –colonel, and Constantin Condrea, deputy-chief of the Criminal Police CPR Bender, held for 9 days in the cells of the special services of the self-proclaimed Transnistrian republic, they were freed exactly after midnight. This process, according to the quoted sources, took place with the assistance of the Russian Federation as well. The policemen were taken by their colleges from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and transported to Chisinau, where they were brought in the hospital for tests and a rehabilitation treatment. Previously, other three workers of the Police from Tighina, Anatol Pohila, Victor Vasilevici and Igor Datco, arrested together with Stefan Mangar and Constantin Condrea, were freed receiving no explanation regarding their imprisonment. After the imprisonment of five police workers, the minister of Internal Affairs, Gheorghe Papuc, communicated to the mass-media representatives, that one of the four policemen from Tighina, in his day off, went to Tiraspol to see a doctor. Finding himself surrounded by several individuals, he asked for the help of his colleges from the Criminal Police, who were also arrested when they came. In the same day Stefan Mangar, member of a special investigation group regarding a murder that took place in 2004, was arrested as well. The group was finalizing its work and they identified the killer who shot two businessmen from Chisinau. Papuc declared that the criminal organization is under the protection of the secret services from Tiraspol, that organized the arrest of Mangar in order to prevent arresting the killer.
