A woman aged 35 and a 50-year-old man were hit fatally at the exit from Magdacesti village of Criuleni district on September 13, IPN reports.
According to the National Patrolling Inspectorate, the two were struck outside the crosswalk, as they were jaywalking.
A criminal case was started against the driver. The police are to establish if the driver was speeding or was under the influence of alcohol.
