Two persons killed in weekend fires
A man aged 46 and another one of 80 died in fires on the weekend, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service.
The first victim is from Redi-Ceresnovat, Soroca. The man was found dead in his bed destroyed by flames. Allegedly, the fire was caused by a burning cigarette. No other things burned in the room. Most probably, the man died from carbon monoxide poisoning.
The 80-year-old man from Viisoara village, Edinet was killed in a fire caused by a faulty stove.
Seventeen fires occurred in Moldova over the weekend.
