Two perish from carbon monoxide poisoning

A man from Orhei and a woman from Stefan Voda died from carbon monoxide poisoning on October 27, IPN reports.

According to the Civic Protection and Emergencies Service, the body of the man aged 57 was found in his house. The man was poisoned by carbon monoxide emitted by his stove. The 65-year-old woman is thought to have died for the same reason. No fire occurred in any of the two cases.

Firefighters warn the people to carefully use stoves and other heaters, which must be cleaned and checked before the cold season. The fire must be extinguished before going to sleep, while the rooms must be aired out daily.
