Two pedestrians suffered brain concussions in road accidents occurred on Monday on Chisinau streets.
Ion Roscovanu, Road Safety Inspector of the Chisinau Traffic Police told Info-Prim Neo that the first accident happened at about 12 PM at the intersection of the streets Socoleni and Ceucari. A Mercedes-312 van, driven by a 19-year-old man hit a Volvo vehicle, driven by a 20-year-old man. As a result of the strong collision, a passenger of the Volvo vehicle, aged 26, was severely injured. The victim was hospitalised with cranial-cerebral trauma.
At 6 PM, on Renasterii blvd. a Volkswagen-Golf vehicle, driven by a 22-year-old person, hit a woman of 58. The woman suffered brain concussion.
An hour later, on 1 Cantermir blvd. an Opel-Astra car, driven by a 23-year-old man, native of the Gratiesti suburban village, hit a girl aged 19. The victim was admitted to hospital with brain concussion.
On Monday, Chisinau traffic agents registered 16 minor accidents. 9 drivers were fined for drunk-driving, 21 for driving unbuckled, 32 for driving on red and 116 for speeding.
