A girl lost her life and her friend suffered serious traumas in a violent accident which took place in Chisinau. The girl and the young man, both aged 20, were crossing the street when they were hit by a Ford-Fiesta. The girl died immediately and the young man was transported to the hospital for first aid. Ion Roscovanu, Road Safety Inspector of the Chisinau Traffic Police, told Info-Prim Neo, that the accident took place on Saturday evening, at around 7 PM, on Decebal Boulevard. Officers of the Road Police, who are investigating the case, will establish the guiltiness of the parties involved in the accident. However, it is already clear that the young people were jaywalking. Almost at the same time, on Balcani Street, an Audi car hit a man, thought to be about 60, whose identity is currently unknown, causing his death. The Road Police are asking help in identifying the victim. The man, of 165 to 170 cm height, was wearing a brown jacket, a brown-grey sweater, blue jeans, and white shoes. During the weekend, capital’s traffic agents fined 48 drivers for drunk-driving, 213 for speeding, 42 for driving without seat belts. Besides the two accidents which resulted in victims, 19 minor accidents were recorded this weekend.
