Two pedestrians injured in road accidents
Two pedestrians, including a minor, were injured in road accidents on Wednesday, 30 January, in the capital city.
Ion Roscovanu, Road Safety inspector of the Chisinau Traffic Police, told Info-Prim Neo that both accidents occurred in the morning, when the visibility was good and the streets dry.
The first accident involved a 16-year-old boy who suffered soft tissue injuries as a result of the collision with a Nisan-Primera vehicle at the intersection of Stephan the Great blvd. with Banulescu-Bodoni Street. The vehicle was driven by a 23-year-old man.
An elderly woman, 73, was admitted to hospital with the same diagnosis. The woman was hit on Cuza-Voda blvd. by a ZIL-130 truck, belonging to the 4th Motor Vehicle Fleet. Both cases are being handled by the police.
On Wednesday, traffic agents fined 15 persons for drunk-driving, 28 for driving unbuckled, 76 for speeding, and 106 for making dangerous moves. There were registered 15 minor accidents and 2 accidents that resulted in injured persons.
