In the past 24 hours two pedestrians were hit by cars on the streets of the capital city. Anatol Proca, doctor coordinator of the Emergency Service told Info-Prim Neo that an accident took place yesterday, March 23, on Mircea cel Batran Bd. A 53 year old pedestrian was hit by an un-identified vehicle. Another 33 year old pedestrian was hit by a VAZ vehicle on Muncesti Bd. A 21 year old young woman was hospitalised after being poisoned by carbon monoxide generated from the defective heating system of the apartment. On the same day a 28 year old man tried to commit suicide administering an insecticide solution. On the whole, in the past 24 hours, the Emergency Service received 612 phone calls, among which 42 cases of virosis, 8 strokes and an influenza case. According to Fire Department and the Emergency Service, in the same period of time 16 fires without any victims were recorded, of which 2 took place in Chisinau.
