In Valea Trandafirilor Park, two public restrooms have been opened. They have cabins for women, men and a cabin for people with disabilities. The public conveniences have sinks, mirrors and soap dishes and are connected to the public aqueduct and sewerage network.
The head of the Planning and Sanitation Department of the General Directorate of Housing and Communal Services, Vasile Efros, has said that the two public toilets are equipped with surveillance cameras to minimize the risk of vandalization.
Vasile Efros has mentioned that in December two restrooms will be put into operation in La Izvor Park. While in "Râșcani" Park, two public restrooms are being built and installed. For next year, it is planned to put in place three public conveniences in Valea Morilor Park.
For the construction of a public toilet the municipality allocates around 750 thousand lei. For now, access is free between 08.00 and 22.00, but the Chisinau City Council will later set a fee.
