Two more persons died because of the COVID-19 disease on April 6 – a person aged 30 and another one aged 70, Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu stated after the meeting of the Single Command Center for managing the COVID-19 pandemic, IPN reports.
According to Viorica Dumbrăveanu, the 30-year-old person is from Chisinau and was hospitalized in critical condition on April 1. This suffered from type 2 diabetes.
The second person, aged 70, is from Ștefan Vodă. This was transferred to a hospital in Chisinau in critical condition on April 3.
Viorica Dumbrăveanu said that 101 infections with COVID-19 were detected today after processing 192 samples. Four of the persons returned infected to Moldova, while 97 got infected locally. The number of confirmed infections now rose to 965. Nineteen 19 persons died from the novel coronavirus so far.
