The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources imposed restriction on fishing and gathering of mollusks in the large rivers and lakes of Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports Fishing on certain sectors of the Nistru, Prut, Larga, Vilia, Lopatnic, Racovat, Ciuhur, Camenca, Garla Mare, Delia, Narnova, Lapusna, Sarata, Tigheci, Ciorna, Raut, Ichel, Bac and in the lakes Cahul, Manta, Botna and Ialpug will be banned between April 1 and June 30. The prohibition on industrial and commercial fishing on the sector of the Prut between the Costesti-Stanca dam and the confluence of the Danube will be in force throughout the year. The fishing of herring in the Nistru will be allowed on the Chisinau-Palanca segment, with a 10-day interruption during the massive migration of the fish.
