Two Moldovan citizens died and six ended up in hospital with different injuries following a road accident in Bihor county, Romania.
Ioana Lascău, a press officer for the Bihor County Police Inspectorate, told IPN that Moldovan citizens were in a minibus that was hit head-on by a truck.
As a result of the collision, the driver of the minibus, a 42-year-old man from Dondușeni, and another 33-year-old man also from Moldova, suffered injuries incompatible with life. One woman and five other men, all from the Republic of Moldova, suffered different injuries and were transported to the hospital for medical care, said Ioana Lascău.
According to the police, at around 6:17 am, the driver of the minibus made an irregular overtaking in a sharp curve and collided frontally with an incoming truck.
As a result of the impact between the two vehicles, the minibus ricocheted into another car parked along the road, said Lascău.
In total, there were nine citizens of Moldova in the minibus.
