Two Moldovan young persons receive awards for cartoons in Moscow
Two animated cartoons made by Moldovan young persons were awarded at the fifth International Conference “Animated Cartoon as Phenomenon of Culture”. The Moldovan awardees are Victor Bivol and Paul Vrabie, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from ARTIStudio Association.
Victor Bivol won the Best Direction award for the animated cartoon “Paper Dream”, which was much applauded at the forum. Paul Vrabie received the Best Image award for “Tapusele”, made under the verses of Ion Hadarca.
The two cartoons were produced in concert with children and young people as part of the My Family Project implemented by ARTIStudio Association and financed by international development agencies. Forty persons aged between 5 and 29 took part in the project and made six animated cartoons. They included children with special needs and children whose parents work abroad.
The award ceremony in Chisinau will take place on October 25, 2009.
ARTIStudio Association was founded in 2002. It promotes animated cartoons made by children and young people.
