Two Moldovan high schools receive books from Constanta county prefecture
The prefecture of Constanta county Tuesday donated several thousands of books to “Luceafarul” High School in Vulcanesti and “Mihai Eminescu” High School in Cantemir, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Romanian Consulate General in Cahul.
The handover event was attended by the prefect of Constanta district Claudiu Palaz and Romania’s Consul General in Cahul Gentiana Serbu. The team traveled to the two settlements to convey the books.
The Romanian movie “Policeman Adjective” was shown at the Palace of Culture in Cantemir as part of the events held to mark Europe’s Week. The screening was organized by the Consulate General in concert with the Romanian Cultural Institute in Chisinau. A contest of essays themed “High School Students and Europe” will be opened on May 12. It is intended for eleventh graders. The prize for the winner in every district is a trip abroad.
