Two minors became victims of traffic accidents on Sunday evening, January 13, in Chisinau municipality, Ion Roscovanu, inspector of the Road Safety and Administrative Supervision Division of the Chisinau Traffic Police, told Info-Prim Neo. According to the cited source, the first minor, a 15-year-old boy, a seventh grader at the school no. 33, was hit by a Nisporeni-registered Neon car. The accident took place at the intersection of the streets Tighina and Varlaam at 5:30 pm. The child was admitted to “Valentin Ignatenco” with various injuries. Two hours later, a 7-year-old boy, first grader at the school no. 65, was hit in the central part of the suburban town of Durlesti by a Daewoo-Nexia vehicle, taxi 1445. The case is now handled by traffic agents. Preliminary investigations revealed that the boy was to blame for the accident. Two traffic accidents resulted in injured persons and 18 accidents without victims have been registered this week-end. 23 drivers were detected driving drunk, 58 speeding, and 64 neglecting traffic lights.
