Two men killed in traffic accidents caused by reckless driving
Two men, 41 and 20, died in separate traffic accidents on Friday, Info-Prim Neo has learned from the Traffic Police’s PR department. Both accidents are blamed on the failure of the drivers to adjust the speeds to the bad weather conditions.
The 41-year-old man was driving a Volkswagen-Passat at high speeds on Chisinau-Balti roadway when he suddenly lost control over the car and it overturned. The driver died immediately. Another man, a passenger in the car, was taken to the intensive care section of the Chisinau Emergency Service.
The second accident took place in the village of Drepcauti, Briceni district, where a speeding 23-year-old driver struck lethally a 20-year-old male pedestrian.
On Friday the Traffic Police registered 5 accidents which killed 2 persons and injured 4 others, taking the number of road deaths registered from the beginning of the year to 40 and the number of injured to 446.
