Two men killed in road accident
Two men died last night in a road accident caused by the driver of the car in which they were traveling.
Traffic Police Division spokeswoman Dana Andronic has told Info-Prim Neo that the accident happened not far from Donduseni town last night. A Mercedes truck heading from a secondary road gave way to a car and then entered the main road. At this moment, a Moskvici-412 car with the lights off struck the truck. Two occupants of the car died on the spot, while the driver aged 25 was rushed to the hospital with a cranial-cerebral trauma and in a cerebral coma of the third degree.
An Audi-100 driven by a man aged 26 hit a 23-year-old man who was crossing the street with his son of only three months in his arms, together with another man aged 22. All the three received serious injuries and were admitted to the Balti municipal hospital.
A man aged 22 driving a Dacia-Logan car ignored the traffic lights at a railway crossing in Seliste village of Cimislia district and was struck by a train conveying workers. He suffered a cranial-cerebral trauma and a skull fracture.
Two persons were killed and 13 hurt in ten accidents on the national roads yesterday and last night. Another 43 accidents caused no victims. The traffic police fined 17 drivers for DUI, 40 for traveling unbuckled, and 122 for speeding.
