Two men, 27, were hit last night on a pedestrian crossing in Chisinau’s Botanica sector. One died instantly and the other was hospitalized.
A Chisinau Police spokesperson told IPN the men were legally crossing Decebal Boulevard near a mall when they were struck. The 23-year-old driver fled the scene, but was arrested 15 minutes later.
The driver could face prison terms ranging from 3 to 7 years if found guilty.
