Two young men from Hancesti were sentenced to 12 years and a half and, respectively, 15 years in jail for murdering a man who was sleeping in his car parked near a village. One of the convicts was under age when the murder was committed, IPN reports.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, last August the offenders attacked a man who was sleeping in his car. They punched and kicked the victim and stole money and possessions to the value of 8,700 lei. In several hours, the minor returned to the crime scene, took the man out and stabbed him with a knife and then set the car on fire.

The minor was sentenced to 12 years and six months in prison for deliberate murder, robbery and destruction of property. This is the maximal sentence applicable to a minor. His accomplice got 15 years. The court decision can be appealed within 15 days.
