A man aged 60 and another one aged 75 from the Transnistrian region died from the novel coronavirus. According to the Transition authorities, the men infected with COVID-19 were diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia, IPN reports.
The region’s ministry of the interior said the 60-year-old man is from Grigoriopol district. He was on hemodialysis and was placed in intensive care on April 14.
The 75-year-old man was from Tiraspol town. He was transferred to the hospital in Slobozia on April 13. He also suffered from other diseases, including heart disease.
As many as 58 persons succumbed to COVID-19 in Moldova so far, including the cases reported today in the Transnistrian region.
