The partially carbonized bodies of two men were found in a house destroyed by fire in the municipality of Bălți. The first version is that the fire was caused by a smoldering cigarette, IPN reports.
The house is situated on Shevchenko St in the town. The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situation said the call to the 112 Service was made at 06:46am. Three firefighting teams travelled to the scene. They managed to put out the fire close to 9am.
The 256 fires that happened in Moldova so far this year resulted in 24 deaths.
