The bodies of two men were discovered in a house in the village of Sauca, Ocnita district. The discovery was made by a neighbor who alerted the police after noticing that the men had not been seen leaving the house for a long time, IPN reports.
Law enforcement authorities found no signs of violent death and are considering several hypotheses regarding the cause of death, including alcohol or carbon monoxide poisoning, as well as hypothermia.
Contacted by IPN, Vladimir Culacov, the local police officer in Sauca, stated that a forensic examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death of the two men, aged 45 and 50. According to Culacov, the case file has already been handed over to the responsible investigator. Authorities continue their investigations to establish the exact circumstances of the tragedy.
