Two men drowned in the Nistru River while they were fishing in the afternoon of September 15, IPN reports.
According to the Civic Protection and Emergencies Service, the frogmen found the body of a man aged 38 approximately 50 meters from the bank in about 15 minutes of searches. The other man had been looked for until 9pm, but the attempts were unsuccessful. The searches were resumed in the morning of September 16.
The rescuers repeatedly warn the population to be careful and not to take unjustified risks. The Civic Protection and Emergencies Service said 40 cases of drowning occurred since the start of this summer.
