A man aged 41 died on the spot, while another one aged 19 died in the hospital after they detonated an unidentified shell in unknown circumstances. They were both from Bulboaca village of Anenii Noi district. The Anenii Noi Police Inspectorate said the incident happened in the evening of January 3 on the territory of a pig farm in Roscani village, IPN reports.

According to the police, the guard service of the Anenii Noi Police Inspectorate at 4.15pm was informed about an explosion that occurred on the territory of the local pig farm by phone by an inhabitant of the village. An operational group travelled to the scene. The 903 emergency service was also called out to provide assistance.

Contacted by IPN, Alexandru Nastas, vice director of the Anenii Noi District Hospital, said the 19-year-old man died yesterday evening, at about 8pm. He suffered injuries incompatible with life.

The Anenii Noi Police Inspectorate has opened an investigation to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
