Two locksmith-controllers, employees of the Strășeni-gaz branch, suffered burns in an explosion on Tuesday, August 17, while they were carrying out routine repairs to a closing device on a valve located on Gheorghe Ureche Street.

Moldovagaz said that both employees were admitted to the district hospital and that their condition is assessed as stable.

The circumstances of the incident are being investigated by a special commission set up by the Ialoveni-gaz company, of which Strășeni-gaz is a part.

According to Moldovagaz, the State Labor Inspectorate, the Agency for Technical Supervision and the branch trade union were informed about the incident.
