A teenage girl and a young man died in a motorcycle accident in Verejeni village of Telenești district last night. The girl, who travelled on the motorcycle as a passenger, was to turn 14 in November, while the driver was 18.

Contacted by IPN for details, Elena Băetrău, press officer of the Telenești Police Inspectorate, said the young man was riding the motorcycle through the village and had the girl as a passenger. At a certain moment, he lost control of the vehicle and crazed this into a cart travelling in front.

The girl died on the spot, while the young man shortly afterward. The cart driver suffered a minor leg injury.
