A man aged 46 from Soroca district was struck by a truck when he was repairing his vehicle parked on the right side of the road. The man went suddenly towards the middle of the road and was hit by the truck. He died on the spot. It happened in Capresti village of Floresti district in the evening of July 30, IPN reports, quoting the National Patrolling Inspectorate.
Also yesterday evening, a car collided with a bicycle rode by a couple from Chircani village of Cahul district not far from the village. The 48-year-old driver of the car from Cahul district changed lanes and struck the bicycle with the man and women aged 36 and 37, which was coming from the opposite direction. As a result of the sustained injuries, the woman died in the Cahul District Hospital, while her husband is in a serious condition.
The National Patrolling Inspectorate calls on the traffic participants to strictly obey the traffic rules.
