Two persons were killed, while another four were transported to the hospital when the cars in which they travelled collided head-on on the M-2 Chisinau – Soroca road in Orhei district in the morning of December 26.

Press officer of the National Patrolling Inspectorate Natalia Golovko has told IPN that the driver of a Ford aged 34 lost control of the vehicle and collided head-on with a Toyota car coming from the opposite direction. One of the passengers of the Ford died on the spot, while another one died in the hospital. The two were aged 35 and, respectively, 54.

Another three occupants of the Ford, including the driver, and the driver of the Toyota were rushed to the hospital with different traumas. The circumstances of the accident are to be established.
