Two young men died, and four persons were injured, including two minors, in a road accident occurred in the evening of May 11, near Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports. At 22.00, on the roadway Chisinau-Vadul lui Voda, a cart was rolling down the hill and a Mercedes minivan was moving up when the minivan struck the horses. Then the vehicle ran down the cart and dragged it 20 metres. As a result, the passengers of the cart were ran down by the minivan and died immediately. Other two young men, aged 21 and a minor aged 15 suffered severe injuries, but they remained alive and were hospitalised in the intensive care section of the Emergency Hospital and “Valentin Ignatenco” hospital. The driver of the minivan, 32, suffered plague of the hand, and his daughter, aged 8 – mental shock and other traumas. At about 3.00, on the aqueduct in Chisinau, a hit-and-run driver has deadly injured a pedestrian. Anyone with information on the accident is asked to call the Road Police (27-25-01 or 902) to identify the victim and track down the hit-and-run driver. The victim is about 40 years old, 1.70 meters tall, dark curly hair. She was wearing pants and a black jacket. The road police registered 4 accidents in the municipality of Chisinau, including 3 casualties and 6 injured persons and 21 minor road accidents. The road inspectors fined 13 drivers for drunk-driving, 147 drivers for wrong manoeuvring, 39 for ignoring the stoplight and 29 pedestrians who crossed the street in prohibited places.
