Two found dead in burning houses
Two men from different localities have been found dead in burning houses.
The press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, Tatiana Corceac, has told Info-Prim Neo one of the tragedies happened in a house in Slobozia-Sireuti village, Briceni district. After the fire was contained, the firefighters discovered the carbonized corpse of the owner, aged 46. The preliminary version of the cause of the fire is a burning cigarette and the owner falling asleep.
The carbonized corpse of a 73-year-old man was found in a burning house in Pascauti village, Rascani. The causes are investigated.
The rescuers intervened to release several people from a car after a severe crash. The tragedy occurred between the villages of Vorniceni and Lozova on the Straseni-Nisporeni motorway. A Lexus, driven by 22-year-old went off the road and hit a tree. The driver and two passengers aged 25 and 34 died, as other three passengers passengers a man aged 21, a 22-year-old woman, a 17-year-old girl were severely injured.
The rescuers were called to deal with 6 cases on Sunday. 1,562 fires have been registered in Moldova since the beginning of the year claiming 130 lives, including 9 children.
