A man was arrested by the police on suspicion of trafficking in persons. Two teens were found in the truck by which the man returned from abroad, IPN reports.
According to the General Police Inspectorate, the man returned from Turkey with the truck loaded with consumer goods. While he was unloading the products on the territory of a shop in Drochia town, two foreign teenagers aged 14 and 15 were discovered among the boxes. They didn’t have identification papers on them.
The 57-year-old driver is from Drochia district. The police officers are discussing with the teens through the agency of an interpreter. The case will be handled by the Bălți Migration and Asylum Bureau.
