Workers of the Green Areas Association are looking for a Christmas tree that will be put in the Great National Assembly Square of Chisinau. They identified two fir trees – one in Orhei, of 16 meters and another one in Criuleni, of 17 meters in height.
Contacted by IPN, the head of the Green Areas Association Eliferii Haruta said that 30,000 lei was allocated from the municipal budget for purchasing and decorating the Christmas tree. The tree will be set up in the central square of Chisinau on November 25.
The head of the municipal lighting company “Lumteh” Nicolae Verejco said the decorative lights during the winter holidays this year will be extended on another 27 streets. The works to install the illuminations are under way and will be completed at the end of November. Overall, 100 streets in Chisinau will wear decorative lights between December 1 and January 14.
Nicolae Verejco also said that the illuminations in central Chisinau will be special. Those who want to see the surprise prepared by the municipality can come to the Great National Assembly Square in the evening of December 1.
