Two sections of family doctors of the Centru Local Medical Association in Chisinau were inaugurated today after extensive repair works. The 70 doctors of the two sections examine over 200,000 patients annually, IPN reports.

According to officials of the medical institution, the conditions needed by doctors, medical assistants and patients were created at the two sections as a result of the repair works. The networks and doors were replaced, the treatment halls, triage rooms, waiting rooms for patients and family doctors’ offices were repaired.

One of the sections contains an area intended for mothers with children. There were also set up waiting areas for patients. The areas were outfitted with air conditioning systems and disinfectants.

A sum of 1.5 million lei was allocated from the municipal budget for the works.

Works are underway to repair the roofs of the two blocks of the Centru Local Medical Association. Municipal funds were also earmarked for the purpose.
