Two girls, 15 and 16, are in serious condition after what appeared to be a suicide attempt. The 112 call was made by a man who saw the girls apparently jumping off an unfinished four-floor building on the outskirts of Falesti town.
When the ambulance arrived, both girls were conscious. Both were rushed to the district hospital. It was discovered that the 15-year-old girl suffered a spinal cord injury and she had to be urgently transferred to the Mother & Child Institute in Chisinau
Falesti hospital vice director Nicolae Andrieș said the second girl is also on her way to Chisinau to receive surgery for a non-life-threatening spinal trauma.
