Two divisions of the Chisinau Municipal Council were merged into one. These are the General Trade, Public Food and Services Division and the General Economy, Reforms and Property Relations Division, IPN reports.
The new entity will be called the General Economy, Trade and Tourism Division. The personnel of the merged entities will work until the personnel status of the newly created division is registered.
PAS councilor Alexandr Trupca proposed a number of amendments to the merger decision, but only the amendment concerning the approval of a clear action plan for reorganizing the bodies of the Chisinau City Hall and the Municipal Council was approved.
According to the informative note to the draft decision, the reorganization by merger of the two divisions is the first stage of a complex process of reforming the local public administration of the municipality.
The new division will be based at 106 Columna St.
