The Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection said two more persons succumbed to COVID-19 – a man aged 78 from Chisinau and a 48-year-old man from Ialoveni, IPN reports.

According to the Ministry, the man from Chisinau was admitted to the Emergency Medicine Institute in a serious state, following a new cerebrovascular accident, on April 12.

The man from Ialoveni was transferred from the Cardiologic Institute to the Emergency Medicine Institute in an extremely serious state on April 24. He suffered from pneumonia, cardiomyopathy, intracardiac thrombus and cardiac insufficiency.

With these two victims, the death toll from COVID-19 rose to 89.
